Ashridge House Wedding with a First Look & Marquee on the South Terrace.
Simon and Shera met and live in the States. Simon is from the UK and they wanted to host their wedding at a quintessentially English venue. Shera works in the world of events and her vision and planning for the wedding was absolutely stunning – it was a truly spectacular wedding in every sense The night before they had a dinner with close family and friends and it was a masked Midsummer’s Night Dream theme.
On the day the timings for the day were tight and we all decided it would be better for Simon and Shera to have a first look where they could enjoy seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony. Because it was such a beautiful day we captured this in the Italian Gardens with Simon waiting by the fountain whilst Shera made her way down. It was beautiful to watch their delight and excitement at taking in all the details of each other’s outfits – something that never really happens when couples first come together during the ceremony. Shera looked sensational and Adie had done an amazing job on her Hollywood Waves.
They chose to have their dinner on the South Terrace and were blessed with amazing weather. Because we had done a first look early in the day we managed to sneak them off after the final speech to make the most of the golden hour in the grounds.
Every single detail was exquisite and the Great Hall looked incredible for the Ceremony – with stunning florals. We loved everything and it was an absolute pleasure to capture both photography and film including use of the drone. The first dances were epic – particularly the Dad/Daughter mash up!
